CUSTOM: LRS (Library Reproduction Service) provides custom-made enhanced large print copies of any and all educational materials in easy-to-handle formats.

SPECIAL NEEDS: LRS Large Print materials have proved extremely valuable for not just visually impaired students, but also for learning disabled students, particularly those with dyslexia, and multi-disabled students.

TITLES: LRS has over 20,000 titles stored digitally or on microfilm, and each year our catalog features the most popular. Supplements can be provided covering areas of special interest. Books not yet stored can be produced by providing us with a clean original.

QUALITY: LRS Large Print provides maximum contrast by utilizing bold, black print on matte white, 98% opacity, acid free paper.

TYPE: Our experience shows that 20 point is the minimum type size required by severely visually disabled students. Unless otherwise requested, all LRS Large Print elementary and most secondary texts are reproduced in 20 point, while all juvenile literature is done in 22 point.

BINDINGS: Since all LRS reproductions are custom made we offer a range of bindings to accommodate the individual student.

FORMATS: LRS provides a range of formats; choice is determined by requested type size, original book format, and how the student will use the book.

PERMISSIONS: LRS will assume responsibility for securing the publisher’s permission to copy material, in almost all cases. Many publishers waive their usual royalty fees for LRS Large Print reproductions.
