FORMATS
LRS provides a range of formats. The choice of format is determined by requested type size, original book format, and how the student will use the book.
Horizontal Format
To encourage more students to enjoy reading, LRS has developed the unique "horizontal format" (click on image to view), which is now available for over 1000 juvenile and adult LARGE PRINT literature titles! The horizontal format for our literature is very popular because it offers the following benefits:
- Opens and reads like a regular book
- Closed book size averages only 8" x 8"
- Extra large print: 20 - 22 point
- Durable library quality cloth bindings
- Special pricingless than for textbooks!

Full-View Format
The LRS exclusive "full-view" format (click on image to view) can best be described as a half page of original text becoming a full page in the reproduction! The entire page can be read without the use of fold-outs. The majority of LRS reproductions utilize this format. This format guarantees proper type enlargement with minimum book size (averages 9" x 11" closed), making it as easy to handle as a regular book. As with all other available LRS formats, LARGE PRINT does not have to mean large book! Our reproductions are not big, cumbersome or difficult to use. Flip Chart Format
The flip chart format (click on image to view) is used on all LARGE PRINT keyboarding books. It can also be used for almost any textbook and/or workbook. The one-sided printing of each page means that a student never has to pick up or handle the book. The flip chart format has been popular with multi-disabled students. Also, special schools use this LRS format as a tool to teach tracking. Benefits include:
- Heavy duty, stiff plastic cover with spiral binding, which fits on a typing or music stand. It can even stand on its own!
- Type can be enlarged from 20 to 24 point and even larger in some cases.
- Each page easily flips over top of stand, to be pushed over by reader or assistant.
