Choose... hard cover soft cover plastic spiral tape

LRS offers a range of bindings and covers. The bindings, either adhesive or spiral, used on LRS books have been specially developed to allow pages to open flat and be folded back. To guarantee that the LARGE PRINT copy truly "fits" the students’ & programs’ needs, LRS can provide the following covers; hard or soft cloth covers with the look of a "regular" textbook; flexible or stiff plastic. To respond to emergencies, LRS has made available an adhesive tape binding with plastic cover.

Hard Cover Binding (hc)

Our standard cover for textbooks is the hard cloth cover wrap-around textbook style binding (click on image to view), which is very durable and unique because it allows the book to lay open flat. Using this format the student can fold the book completely back, without causing harm to the spine of the book. Looks like a regular textbook, but is even easier to use!

Soft Cover Binding (sc)

An excellent alternative to the LRS hard cover is the soft cover binding (click on image to view); a lightweight, flexible, but still durable cloth wrap-around cover.

Plastic Spiral Binding with Flexible Plastic Cover (sb)

This binding (click on image to view) is a lightweight, durable plastic spiral with a flexible plastic cover. It is very easy to use, handles just like a notebook, and can be used on any LRS reproduction! It was initially recommended by California teachers for lower level students, and is now being used throughout the country for grades 1 - 6, as well as for all workbooks and manuals. It is great to use on reading boards! The spiral binding with a stiff, plastic cover is ideal for keyboarding & computer manuals. Also, it is excellent for exceptional students who cannot hold a book. (See format page for flip chart photo - link.)

Tape Binding (tb)

Need your reproduction in a hurry? Here’s your answer...our quick and convenient tape binding (click on image to view) is perfect for those unexpected rush jobs. We use a strong black adhesive tape on the spine with flexible plastic covers for textbooks or paper covers for tests.
